I was born curious and with a love of history!
It was inevitable that whilst studying Law at Melbourne University I included as many historical subjects in my degree as possible. It was also during this period of my life that I made the decision I would investigate my own family history. Coinciding with my legal career I spent endless hours researching my family and discovered much to my amazement that I had an incredible pedigree.
My passion for genealogy is evident in my organizing of and successfully running a family reunion at an Australian Football League Match, the inaugural Solomon and Associated Families Reunion in March 2012 and the family's recent reunion in June 2015.
My original research has been the focal point of a television presentation, which won the Summit International Bronze Award, and an article in “Inside History” magazine in January 2015. I have also written material for the Australian Jewish Historical Society and given talks for The Genealogical Soceity of Victoria Inc., and the Glen Eira, Stonnington and City of Melbourne Councils. I have appeared on Channel 7 News and on their “Sunrise” program and also spoken about the Solomon family on ABC’s national radio.
I am currently immersed in researching and writing volume one of the Solomon family ancestors biographies.
